Roving 125 High Street

Came across some old files from my overnight security days in 2010. Some pictures and video. Anyway I took a couple of hours and created this 9 minute video. It's just me walking around opening doors and narrating where I'm going. I chose the Radiohead tunes (from Amnesiac) because of their strange feel and atmosphere. I used to listen to them quite a bit on my Ipod as Rover. When doing the tours at 2 or 3 am, the mood of music, lighting and aloneness created a sense of surrealism in my mind. For just about three years I lived against the tide, a vampires existence. I would start writing (at the start of my shift) via my laptop after I got my coffee, Rover tools and settled down-- the first year, in a small office in the garage until they sealed it off; the second year I moved into the Atrium and settled there (referring to it as Lobby J); and lastly, I decided why go anywhere else since I was already there in the PWC kitchen making my coffee so I would just bring my laptop to the 6th floor make my coffee and write, until it was time to Rove. Any pictures taken by daylight were from the end of my shift as the rest of the world was either going to work or school or just getting ready to.
